How to read the result
Why the title tag still matters
Your title tag is one of the clearest pieces of information a search engine can get from a page, and it is often the first line a searcher notices. The title should describe the page honestly, not become a pile of repeated keywords.
The meta description is different. It is not a direct ranking switch, but it can help explain what the page is about when Google chooses to use it in a search snippet. This checker also shows canonical, robots and Open Graph basics because those signals make more sense when you see them together.
What to look for
Make sure each important page has a useful title, a description that matches the page, a canonical URL that points where you expect, and social metadata that does not embarrass you when somebody shares the page.
A practical rule
Write the title and description for the person who is about to click. If the wording sounds like it was written for a crawler instead of a customer, rewrite it.
